Social Services Holiday Season ... Would You Like to Help?

This year, the St. John the Baptist Social Services program will again be reaching out to those in need in the parish and community. In these stressful and challenging times, many hardworking people need whatever help can be provided. Would you like to help make this year a success?

For Thanksgiving: the annual food distribution to help those in need in Baldwin Park, we are asking people to generously donate one or more of the following items:- a box of stuffing- a bag of potatoes or a box of mashed potatoes - a can of yams- a can of cranberry sauce- a bag of bread or dinner rolls. If you would like to donate a turkey or help financially, please contact Social Services. (626) 337-4223

For Christmas: the program is seeking to help bring joy to hundreds of families during these challenging times, with a focus on families with children up to 10 years of age. You can bring a new toy (with a tag saying for what age and if for a boy or girl) to the church or the office. The families also receive food; so, contributions are most welcome. The gifts are to be given out at a Posada on December 23 as well as deliveries in the community.

Of course, any financial assistance is also tremendously appreciated. The goal for this season is $10,000, which will do an incredible amount of good. You can use the contact information at the top of the page.

The program also collects food and clothing to aid people throughout the year.
