St. John the Baptist Festival is Coming!

St. John the Baptist Church is holding its annual spring festival Friday May 14, Saturday , May 15, and Sunday, May 16.

Come and enjoy live music, great food and exciting rides and games.

Also, you can buy raffle tickets! Prizes are $5,000, $2,000 and $1,000.

Immigration March - May 1

The buses will leave St. John the Baptist at 8:30 to arrive for the march to begin at 10 a.m. in downtown Los Angeles. They will then leave at 12;30 to return to Baldwin Park.

Interested in Hiring Workers?

St. John the Baptist Social Services will be hosting a job fair on Tuesday, June 15. Please contact the officer if you would like to participate as an exhibitor for positions in Baldwin Park and elsewhere.

You can also contact the office regarding openings. The program maintains a list of people seeking employment.

May 1 United for Immigration Reform

The march to support immigration rights will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, at Broadway and Olympic in downtown Los Angeles and continue to Temple.

Blood Drive

St. John the Baptist Social Services and Children's Hospital of Los Angeles will be hosting a blood drive on Sunday, May 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parish hall.

Immigration Assistance - April 18

St. John the Baptist Social Services will be hosting an immigration advice session on Sunday, April 18, in the parish hall from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Gloria Saucedo of Hermandad Mexicana will be present to help with questions such as Class U Visas (abuse cases), family petitions, and applying for citizenship for those who have been legal residents for over five years.

Census Worker on Tuesday

St. John the baptist Social Services will be hosting a Census worker live in the office on Tuesday, April 6 to help fill in the census forms. In addition, workers at the office can help Monday through Friday with the forms and also have forms available in English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Russian.
